Aroma / The importance of scent in gastronomy.

Aroma establishes a new connection and way of engaging the user. The costumers, seen in their fullest expression as a sensitive and thus emotional being, is immersed in a setting where aromatic glasses are offered with the primary purpose of training and focusing on the sense that holds the most emotional content in the subconscious of the guest: the smell.

This project stems from the desire to create an elegant and aesthetic product that complements the atmosphere of a fine dining restaurant. With a conceptual and innovative foundation, it seeks to highlight the importance of scent in gastronomy and introduce a new utensil and way of understanding culinary art within the establishment.

Beyond a perfume, this project is a reflection. Zahr represents the conclusion of a deep and panoramic analysis of the present, where humanity has generally increased its life expectancy but not the quality of life or its surroundings. Human evolution has reached potentially irreversible limits, prompting us to reconsider the meaning of existence itself. Deforestation, extinction of living beings and plants and terrestrial harm that embodies humanity’s mismanagement of its environment and itself—calls for a critical voice and the action of those ready to make a difference.

Challenging the concept of the conventional commercial perfume, we sought to deconstruct the layers of consumerism and propose a genuine shift in perspective by placing our fragrance in a futuristic context.

This innovative, creative idea not only reinterprets its setting but also revolutionizes how the perfume is used and the storytelling traditionally associated with it. Zahr emphasizes its value in a near future (not entirely dystopian) where perfume assumes a key social role, highlighting the urgent need to protect vegetation, water, and the environment.

Zahr invites users to stop viewing perfume as an object of identification for others and instead experience it as a tool for immersive journeys into the unknown depths within themselves.
